Beauty entrepreneur and home-shopping television starAdrien Arpel has sold her lakefront house on Palm Beach’s North End for $25.375million, according to the deed recorded Monday.
She sold it to an entity controlled by a businessman who with his wife in November bought a North End house from "Margaritaville" singer Jimmy Buffett and his wife, Jane.
Arpel owned the four-bedroom house at 1020 N. Lake Way—on a lot of nearly a half-acre — under her married name, Adrienne Newman, courthouse records show. She paid $5.2 million for the propertyin 2001 when she was married to her late husband, Ronald Monroe Newman, records show.
Businessman and Palm Beacher Warren B.Kandersmanages the limited liability company that bought Arpel’s house, the deed shows.Among his business interests,Kandersowns the parent company of Jacksonville-based Safariland, whichmakes products used by law enforcement, military, fire-rescue and EMS personnel.
In November, Kanders and his wife, Allison, paid a recorded $6.9 million for the Buffetts’ house at 309 Garden Road. The Buffetts have other homes on the island.

With about 7,600 square feet, the house looks out to 105 feet of waterfront and a dock.The property is at the intersection of North Lake Way and Garden Road, six streets north of Palm Beach Country Club.
The two-story residencewas completedin 1998, according to property records. The househas French-influenced architecture with a Mansard-style roof and a brick motor court fronting the attached two-car garage. The layout includes a one-bedroom staff apartment with a separate entrance.
Interior amenities include a fireplace, a formal dining room, a wet bar and floors covered in hardwood and parquet, according to the sales listing.
Arpel isn’t leaving Palm Beach. In March 2020, she paid a recorded $9.41 million for an oceanfront condominium with a poolside cabana at the Leverett House, 110 Sunset Ave., property records show.

Broker Lawrence Moens of Lawrence A. Moens Associates listed the North Lake Way house at $26.85 million just before Christmas and landed it under contract in early February with an extended closing date,according to the MLS. The sale closed June 1.
Broker Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate brought the buyer to the deal, according to the MLS. Anglealso represented the Kanders when they bought the house last fall on Garden Road, negotiatingopposite listing broker Denise A. Hanley of Denise A. Hanley Inc.
Angle, Moens, Arpel and Warren Kanders couldn’t be reached.
A New Jersey native with ties to New York, Arpelentered the beauty industry as a teenager more than 50 years ago, according to published biographical sketches. She developed her own line of makeup under the brand Adrien Arpel, a name she devised, and sold it in department stores.
In 1992, she became a popular vendor onthe HSN shopping network, where her beautyand jewelry lines are marketedunder the name Signature Club A by Adrienne. She has written several books on beauty topics.

Condo purchase
Arpelbought the house on North Lake Way from businessman Sidney Kimmel, who co-founded the Jones New York apparel empire. She had the house homesteaded in the 2020 tax rolls, records show.
Herhusbanddied in 2015 at 84.
She bought her Leverett House condo — under her married name — from investment banker Jack Levy and his wife, Frances, who recently built a lakeside custom home at 430 N.Lake Way. Agent Cristina Condon of Sotheby's International Realty handled the buyer’s side of the condo sale opposite listing agent Suzanne Frisbie of Premier Estate Properties, according to MLS records.
Buyer has family ties to island
The deed for the house just sold by Arpel lists aPalm Beach address on Royal Poinciana Way for Three Palm Trees LLC, the Florida-registered company that Warren Kanders used to buy the property.
He has family ties to Palm Beach, where his parents, JeanneKandersand Dr. RalphKanders, own a condominium, property records show.
