Mini Blackberry Cobblers — elisabeth & butter (2024)

Hey friends! I had the craziest thing happen to me. Draper James, Reese Witherspoon's line of clothing and home goods, emailed me and wanted to collaborate. I'm still convinced they had the wrong email but I went with it :)

I'm so shocked whenever anyone wants to work with me because I still feel like I'm just doing my hobby that I've done my whole life. I really believe that God has brought people and opportunities in my life for a reason and it is absolutely nothing that I've done. I just love baking and love blessing others with it, and these amazing opportunities have fallen in my lap which has been the most crazy thing ever. I started this blog as a way of sharing what I love and it has been amazing seeing the response from all of you.I am very humbled through it all.

Draper James asked me to make a yummy summer dessert for their blog, and I thought some mini cobblers would be the perfect thing! They sent me some of the cutest napkins, placemats, table runner, and even the top I'm wearing. Their products make it easy to set an adorable table and it takes the hard work away. How adorable are these cherry napkins?

I asked my good friend, Brooke Glassfordof Colorbox Photography, to come along and take some pictures of the shoot. She understood my vision exactly and the pictures turned out so much better than I could have imagined! She is so talented and I'm thankful to know her.T

hese plates are from Parish, one of my favorite places to shop in Montgomery!

Let's talk about these flowers... I mean have you ever seen a prettier arrangement?? I can say that because I didn't make it. Crystal Stickland of Southern Posies made this beautiful flower arrangement for me and it completely made the table. She is doing my wedding flowers and this arrangement almost made me want to change my wedding colors to these!

These earrings are my FAVORITE and I've never been an earring-wearer. They are by Vivian Drew and come in so many different styles and colors!

Draper James asked me a few questions for the blog post and I thought I'd share them with you!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am 23 years old, born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. I grew up in the kitchen and my love for baking began at a very early age when I began making cakes and cookies for friends and family. I realized this hobby of mine was slowly turning into a business when people started ordering my cookies for parties and events, and after that I never looked back. I find comfort in the kitchen and I started my blog, Elisabeth and Butter, so others could feel the exact same way. I am loving running my blog along with teaching baking classes, selling desserts and planning my wedding that is coming up in October!

What was the idea behind this recipe?
In the summer nights, my family and I love to sit outside for dinner. Blackberries are in season and what is better than cobbler and ice cream? I knew this recipe would be a crowd pleaser especially because these cobblers can be whipped up in under 45 minutes with just a few simple ingredients.

What’s the best way to serve these Mini Blackberry Cobblers?
The best way to serve these cobblers is to make them in small ramekins and scoop ice cream right on top of each one. This makes for a fun presentation, and it’s easy to serve to your guests. (Here are some small ramekins- here andhere).

Would you ever switch out the blackberries for another fruit?
You can definitely swap the blackberries for blueberries, peaches, or even a mix of them all. This is a very versatile recipe and can be changed any way you like.

What’s your favorite “Southernism”?
“Y’all come in!” I love how welcoming people in the South are. Southern hospitality is unlike anything else, and I can’t imagine growing up without it!

This recipe makes 6 mini cobblers and is perfect for summer entertaining. They can be made the day before and stored in the refrigerator, then warmed up before serving. The crumbly topping is buttery and so delicious with the juicy blackberries. My mouth is watering as I type.It was such a fun shoot and I'm excited to share this delicious and easy recipe with you all!
