Thesetrufflesare a mixture of chocolate, cream, butter, chopped hazelnuts and heavenly Nutella.
This recipe is totally foolproof. You can’t mess it up. That’s how simple it is!
Start by heating the heavy cream till the boiling point and pout it over soften butter and the finely chopped chocolate (I’ve used Scharffen Berger 70% but you can use 60 or even darker if you prefer as long as it’s not milk chocolate). Let it sit for few moments and stir until the mixtures becomessmooth, shiny anduniform. Now add Nutella and finally chopped hazelnuts. Mix until combined and chill until easy to handle.
After the mixture is chilled enough to handle, take small pieces (little over a teaspoon) and roll them between your palms to get them (somehow) round. If it gets too sticky, dust your palms with a little cocoa powder.
Once all the balls are done the fun begins. Take out yoursprinklesand rolls the truffles to cover. Alternately you can use cocoa powder, powder sugar or finely chopped hazelnuts, but I think thesprinklesare more fun toworkwith and make the truffles even more irresistible. Don’t you think so?
When you’re done, pour yourself a glass of cold milk, sink your teeth into this little ball of rich creamy chocolate candy and hide. You’ll have a hard time sharing these little treasures.
