Recipe tips:

  1. Use fresh strawberries. As I mentioned already, you can use frozen strawberries too, but the drink tastes better with fresh strawberries! That’s why this recipe is the perfect Summer drink when strawberries are in season.
  2. Frozen strawberries will work if needed. Even though frozen strawberries are mashed a little, make sure you still muddle them to break up any remaining ice and release all the sweet juices.
  3. Use high-quality vodka. Any vodka works, but using your favorite brand ensures the drink is delicious, and the vodka doesn’t overpower the drink. Tito’s is a fantastic option.
  4. Make it sparkling. Make this fun and bubbly strawberry lemonade co*cktail with sparkling water or seltzer instead of still water.
  5. Use homemade Lemonade. Using fresh lemons to make homemade lemonade makes a sugar flavor difference and is incredibly easy to make at home. All you need is lemon juice, sugar, and water. Using homemade lemonade allows you to control the sweetness levels of this vodka strawberry lemonade.

Vodka lemonade variations

  1. Use sparkling water. You can swap out the water for sparkling water if you want to spice up this co*cktail!
  2. Use frozen strawberries. You can use frozen strawberries, too, just defrost them and then muddle them.
  3. Add fresh mint leave. Add in 3 – 5 chopped-up mint leaves for a fun, refreshing summer flavor.
  4. Use limes instead of lemons. Make this a strawberry vodka limeade by using limes instead of lemons.
  5. Use tequila or gin instead of vodka. You can easily swap out the vodka for tequila or gin.
  6. Use blackberries or blueberries. If you don’t have strawberries, you can use blue or blackberries.
  7. Use mango. Adding some blended mango makes this drink so delicious. Don’t forget to check out these spicy mango margaritas too!
  8. Use lemonade. To make this recipe even easier, you can use 4 to 5 cups of store-bought lemonade instead of the lemons and sugar.
